Introduction
Foriero s.r.o. ("we", "our", or "us"), the developer and owner of Callee Me, is committed to protecting your privacy and the privacy of your children. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our AI tutoring platform.
Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. For child profiles, we collect the child's first name, age, and learning preferences.
Usage Information
We collect information about how you and your children interact with our platform, including lesson topics, progress data, and learning analytics.
Voice Conversations
Our AI tutoring uses voice conversations. Voice audio is streamed to our voice AI providers and processed in real time to provide tutoring - we do not store audio recordings. What we keep are text transcripts and AI-generated summaries of conversations, used to track learning progress and personalize future sessions.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide personalized tutoring services
- Track and display learning progress
- Improve our AI teaching capabilities
- Communicate with you about your account
- Ensure the safety and security of our platform
Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)
We are committed to protecting children's privacy. Our platform is designed for children ages 4-12, and only an authenticated parent can create and control a child profile. Our current practices include:
- Only authenticated parents can create and manage child profiles; children cannot create their own account
- Use profile, conversation, transcript, summary, memory, and learning-progress data to provide and personalize tutoring
- Do not show advertisements to children and do not use behavioral tracking
- Never sell, share, or trade children's personal information with third parties for commercial purposes
Information Sharing & Third-Party Services
We do not sell your personal information. We use the following third-party services to operate the platform, and may share limited data with:
- Service providers: ElevenLabs, OpenAI, Google Gemini, xAI, Mistral and Fish Audio (voice AI), Anthropic (text AI), Stripe (payments), Resend (emails), Firebase (mobile notifications)
- Teachers or schools if you use our platform through an educational institution
- Law enforcement when required by applicable law or to protect the safety of children
Data Security
We use encrypted network connections and access controls to protect account and child information. Parent and child surfaces use separate authentication and authorization controls.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. Conversation transcripts and summaries are retained so parents can review progress, and we do not yet apply an automatic time limit to them. When you delete a child profile, that child's conversations, transcripts, summaries, memories, progress, schedules and paired devices are deleted with it. Some records are kept on purpose: stories created for the child stay in the parent's library, support requests you sent us stay in your support history, consent and billing records are kept with the child identifier removed, and staff access logs are kept as a security audit trail. Deleted data can also remain for a time in database backups, and the AI providers that processed a call keep their own copies under their own terms. Account deletion is not self-service yet: email privacy@callee.me and we will delete or anonymize your personal information unless we are legally required to keep it (for example, payment records for tax purposes).
International Data Transfers
Our servers and database are currently hosted in the United States, and some of our service providers also process data there. Where data of users in the European Union is transferred outside the EU, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses with our providers.
Your Rights (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable privacy laws, you have the right to:
- Access your personal information and receive a copy of your data
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your data (right to be forgotten). You can delete a child profile yourself in the parent dashboard; for account deletion, email privacy@callee.me
- Export your data in a machine-readable, portable format (data portability). There is no self-service export yet, so we handle export requests by email
